Join us on your doorsteps across the nation this Christmas to sing carols together and spread some much-needed cheer! Carols on the Doorstep started in Shropshire but is spreading far and wide as more local radio stations come on board. See if we’re in your area yet! If not, why not become a street co-ordinator and help us bring it to you?

Work has been continuing on several projects during the autumn. Not helped by the early October monsoon we have completed the boules court edging/seating – and are indebted to Avril’s Fencing for very kindly donating the timbers. We have also installed an additional picnic table for the playground and a seat in the lower field.
On Friday 4 December the new (and mature, its already 3-4m high) oak tree is being planted in the lower field. Should the prevailing pandemic restrictions allow then in conjunction with the village school we will be holding a short ceremony at the tree – to welcome it to the field and village! We would like anyone who is interested to attend this should they wish, so look out for notices/emails around the village much nearer the time stating whether we are able to run this event.
Walking Footy was running on Sundays at 10:30AM – please contact Alan Hooley should you wish to join once the current Lockdown has been lifted.
Congratulations to this month’s lottery winner – Andrew Hirst. If you would like to join please contact Bob Beale or Dave Ellison 07791-748967 / the_ellisons@hotmail.co.uk
