WW1 ARMISTICE COMMEMORATION

On 11th November 2018, Tickenham Church and the Parish Council will be marking the 100th anniversary of the WW1 armistice with a special commemoration.  Each fallen soldier will be remembered individually and there will be a special exhibition, poems and readings and we hope to make a cascade of poppies from the church tower.  For this, of course, we will need hundreds of poppies!  PLEASE HELP US by knitting or chocheting poppies.  There are lots of patterns on the internet and you can make a good number from just one ball of wool.  Or if you are unsure, ring Vena on 07740 085 015
