TICKENHAM OPEN GARDENS

Only a few weeks to go to the first ever Tickenham Open Gardens Day on Sunday 23rd June 2019.  There are some wonderful gardens in the village and TEN of them will be open to visitors who can expect a real treat including a national collection of passiflora and other climbers.  Each garden is very different and all have fantastic views.  Everyone is working hard, tidying pots, sweeping paths, despatching that big fat slug who’s eyeing the hostas and that dandelion clock that’s threatening to seed everywhere!  So do come along to support our village gardeners – and our two charities “Alive” and the Brown Rock Woodland Project.

Parking, tickets and refreshments (light lunches and cream teas) will be available at the village hall (where there is also a children’s play area);  limited parking will also be available at most of the gardens.  Entry is £3.50 which covers all the gardens, £1 for children under 16 and under 5s free.   You can purchase tickets in advance from Vena Prater on  07740 085 015, at the village hall on the day, and at the first garden that you visit.
