OUR PAVEMENTS NEED YOUR HELP!
During the past few months more and more people have been out walking. This has drawn attention to the overgrown pavements throughout the village. The pavements are narrow at the best of times so when weeds grow against the boundaries of your properties and shrubs hang over the paths, they become almost impassable and people have to step into the road. That is scary! We are appealing to you to do your bit for the community by clearing any weeds and debris on the pavement by your boundary and cutting back overhanging shrubs and trees. This will be much appreciated by your fellow Tickenham residents. Thank you.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR COUNCIL MEETINGS DURING THE RESTRICTIONS DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
Due to Covid-19 restrictions we are required to make arrangements for meetings to be held digitally. But you can still ‘attend’ the meeting as a member of the public: go to the agenda on this website and you will find the joining details by the side. Just phone in or log in – it’s very easy!
Tickenham Parish Council
Tickenham Parish Council has been in existence for getting on for 100 years and before that the Parish Meeting for a further thirty or forty years! Many things have improved over that time and the Council continues to consider a variety of issues affecting the village, not least planning applications and highways issues. There is much variety and some frustration but being a parish councillor is a commitment to maintaining the ethos of the village.
Tickenham is served by North Somerset Council. Cllr Nigel Ashton is our Ward Councillor and holds a surgery during the monthly Village Market (2nd Saturday of the month) in the village hall committee room, from 10.30am.
