A VILLAGE EVENT FOR ALL
The village school would love to welcome new faces to our monthly market which is held in our village hall , school parents kindly run this voluntary event , We would love to see past pupils, parents and local villagers who like to support the village in fund raising. All money that is raised benefits every child in Tickenham School making such a difference to special day trips and treats for the pupils.
We have a wide selection of local fresh goods and gifts on offer. Refreshments and food available in the morning making it a treat to eat out on a Saturday morning whilst helping the local school.
Please support this in the village and come along we would love to see you all.
July’s market and cafe will be showcasing a lovely new seller “just good bakes” who sells wheat, gluten and dairy free cake packs.
Our cafe will be offering cream teas so do pop along and enjoy.
The bunting & balloons survived and the rain/wind didn’t dampen numbers too much. A good day had by all at the May Market, hot drinks and bacon rolls a plenty thanks to Lizzie, Debi & Tom
Always good to see stallholders running out of stock so make sure you arrive early next month to ensure YOU don’t miss out.
NEXT Month: Market & Cafe on 8th of June includes a CAR BOOT held in back field. Contact Phil Collard for more information.
The monthly event is held at Tickenham Village Hall and is organised by parents and staff at Tickenham Primary School, with all proceeds put back into the school.
In a bid to promote the market, new co-ordinator Lisa Collard has begun signing up people willing to hold outdoor stalls, including organic fruit and vegetable producer Mark Cox, from Barley Wood Walled Garden.
Lisa said: “Outside stalls seem to have worked for other markets so we thought we would try it. We get lots of stall holders willing to take part so we just now need to increase our footfall.”
