Tickenham Parish Council is hosting a PUBLIC MEETING on Wednesday 2nd January 2019 at 7.00 p.m. in the Village Hall.
The Joint Spatial Plan (November 2018) transport report indicates a road from Hanham Way, Nailsea, winding round Tickenham Church and joining the B3130 near Washing Pound Lane. It is estimated that this will result in an ADDITIONAL 150 -300 passenger car units passing through Tickenham at peak morning times. And, of course, additional traffic at other times too!
This meeting is your chance to air your views so that the Parish Council can respond on your behalf. A presentation will be made to explain the background to the Plan and the development proposals in Nailsea which have led to this proposal.
Members of the public may (in fact, should) respond as well and you can find the relevant document at www.jointplanningwofe.org.uk/consult.ti Then go to Technical Evidence Work Consultation, November 2018 and look at document WED 008 (Emerging Findings Transport Report) Then just underneath you will see ‘Click here to respond to this consultation.’
Or you can write to West of England Joint Planning Consultation, c/o South Gloucestershire Council, PO Box 299, Corporate Research and Consultation Team, Civic Centre, High Street, Kingswood BS15 0DR
The Council was not informed of this proposal until December and the closing date for responses is 7th JANUARY so action is needed quickly. We look forward to seeing you on the 2nd January.
The Council just been informed that there will be yet another document – the Joint Local Transport Plan – out for consultation in early February. Another opportunity to respond with your views. The Parish Council is planning a public meeting but at this stage we are unable to confirm the date. We hope Cllr Nigel Ashton (NSC) will be joining us. Please look out for more information in the February magazine, on the Parish Council notice boards and on this website.
